I hereby give you notice that the meeting of ELSTOW PARISH COUNCIL MEETING will be held at 7.00 pm. At
Elstow Playing Field Hall, Wilstead Road, Elstow on
TUESDAY 10th MARCH 2026
All members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting as set out hereunder. Members of the public are invited to speak during the Open Forum item

1) Welcome and Apologies for absence to be received, Personal and Prejudicial Interest to be declared for the meeting

3) Parish Councillor Vacancy – ability of Parish Council to co-opt to the Parish Council
4) Planning and Development
a) Applications regarding The Red Lion, High Street – amended plans submitted regarding:
25/02460/FUL Removal of existing awning, timber archway, screens, and beer barrel tables. Erection of new timber goal post structure with new external TV and speakers. Erection of replacement picket fence with 3no. new festoon posts and new festoon lighting to beer garden patio area
25/02459/LBC Internal and external refurbishment.
b) Consideration of any planning applications received after the publication of the agenda
5) Bedford Borough Councillor report
6) Finance and policy matters to include:
a) Quotes for consideration to include installation and purchase of memorial bench, Wilstead Road rural path maintenance quotation
b) Invoices to be paid
c) Financial monitoring actual against budget review
d) Borough Council updated communications regarding average speed camera calibration and ongoing maintenance costs to be paid by Parish Council
e) Document review: Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, internal audit controls, financial and general risk assessment
6) To agree the minutes of last meetings on 10th February
7) Correspondence and Information Received to include summary of items not covered on agenda
8) Close of Meeting and Future Meeting Dates – Tuesday 14th April 2026 at 7pm
